Chief Implementation Consultant (International)
CurrentImplementation of Objectway software in the UK, the Netherlands and Belgium, on site at various financial institutions. As a software implementation consultant, I start with workshops giving an overview of the possibilities of our software package. Meanwhile I ask the right questions to have a clear understanding of the exact requirements. I analyse and make recommendations based on years of implementation experience. After several iterations, all business needs are translated into a clear functional scoping document, ready to be implemented. In the next phase, I have a broad range of responsibilities. In our own office, I apply scrum product owner best practices for all new functionalities developed for my projects. On client site, I manage the implementation track using a PRINCE2 based approach.Product features have to be configured by setting all parameters. Software has to be linked with other systems using standardized formats (in real time or via overnight files). Gaps have to be closed through workarounds or through extra development. Everything must be tested. All has to be documented and end users have to be trained. I am involved in all these tasks, in various roles, not scared to get dirty. I am also responsible for project management tasks like project tracking, scope monitoring and planning. After go live, I stay an important point of contact for questions, additional enhancements and 2nd line follow up on production issues.
