I am the Head Coach of the varsity Men's Rowing program at the University of San Diego. I oversee all aspects related to the program, including practice planning, regatta scheduling, training plan implementation, boathouse management, recruiting, and the development of a successful, winning culture.I have had prior roles in the following areas:• Coaching. I previously founded the Men's & Women's Rowing programs at Adrian College, which included the development and construction of a new boathouse and the creation of a roster. In our third year as a program we went undefeated at our conference championships, winning all four races that we entered. I helped to start a new rowing club in Kansas City in 2015. In 2013 as a coach at my alma mater, St. John's Jesuit, I was nominated for Coach of the Year among Toledo high school sports coaches. I also played and have coached lacrosse extensively.• Health care information technology. I worked for Cerner Corporation for three years, first as a business analyst and market strategist and later as a consultant for our population health management software. I studied markets in multiple areas, including acute hospitals, ambulatory practices, behavioral health & long-term care clinics, health insurance & benefits, and population health management.. • Medical and psychology-focused research. I worked on research projects at both Stanford University and the University of Michigan.• Education. I was a teacher at my alma mater, St. John's Jesuit High School. I also worked as a tutor for both standardized tests and general education material for high school students. • Christian-Catholic faith development. I have been a retreat leader, RCIA sponsor, and service event coordinator. I was on the Catholic-Christian leadership teams, particularly in the areas of service and campus ministry, while in college.• Service opportunities. I am the founder of a charity bike ride that supports an organization I went to Guatemala with, International Samaritan. The bike ride has raised over $80k through 6 years.I was also a collegiate athlete, first as a member of the Stanford Men's Rowing team and, after a rowing-specific injury, a member of the Stanford Men's Lacrosse team.

Head Coach, Men'S And Women'S RowingAdrian College Jun 2017 - Aug 2021In the spring of 2017 I was hired to be the inaugural Head Coach of the Men's and Women's Rowing programs. I oversaw the development of both programs from the ground up, which included: the building of the school's boathouse on Devils Lake, the purchasing of all necessary equipment (boats, oars, rowing machines, uniforms, etc.), the recruiting of all student-athletes, the establishment of a racing and practice schedule, and the development of team traditions, among other responsibilities.In our team's 3rd year (my 4th year at the school) we took four boats to our conference championships and won gold in all four events. I was voted the Mid-Atlantic Rowing Conference (MARC) Men's Coach of the Year. -

Our Lightweight 8 also won bronze, bringing our medal total to 3 medals at Midwest Championships (also an SJJ record). During my two years as coach, we won more medals than in any other two year period in SJJ history.
