Bas Verhoeven brings a wide technical and managerial experience in the electric power sector. In his career, he has been consulting various utilities with the introduction of new technologies in the sector followed by international marketing and sales for large and complex international consultancy projects. Since 2000, he has been active in the field of testing and certification of power components. As entrepreneur, he was the thought leader for the investments plans for the new built KEMA High voltage Laboratory (10 € million) and the extension investment of the World’s number one KEMA High Power Laboratory (70 € million).Bas has many years of experience in operational management of high tech organizations. His expertise lies in managing operational teams and in managing managers of operational teams in large organizations.Whilst familiar with latest technologies in the power sector, Bas’s expertise lies in the business development, marketing and sales in a global business environment. His focus is in the definition and translation of long and mid-term strategies into practical marketing and sales practices. He is a seasoned professional in B-to-B sales who knows how to close a complex international deal. Bas holds a Master degree in Power Engineering from Eindhoven Technical University and has completed further executive education at TSM Business School, IMD and INSEAD. He is member of various professional organizations like IEC, Cigré and STL. In the course of his career he has published several professional papers and articles and is an appreciated international public speaker.
