Mechatronics Development Engineer
As a Consulting & Engineering company TMC Group deploys over 500 highly educated employeneurs, specialists and consultants with various clients on a project basis. As an employeneur i have been hired to ASML.Within the waferstage Machine Material Damage Control team (MMDC) I was responsible for the development, integration and testing of controlled landing and the smart saturation. Both controlled landing and the smart saturation are fully integrated, qualified and active on all NXT3 machines.At the start of Q3 2012 I started as the function owner of the chuck exchange forNXT3. With this task I was responsible for further development, integration and testing of the chuck exchange thereby making it robust and mature while fullfilling all the requirements. This not only requires planning of own work but also monitor deliveries and dependencies. As the chuck exchange is a system broad sub-function a lot of inter team/project consultation is part of the daily job. The NXT3 chuck exchange is now at the end of the integration phase and has shown proper performance.As of Q4 2013 I started as (junior) architect of the MMDC team. Within this function I am active as the team’s key-contact person and responsible for the team’s technological connection with other parties both in and outside the project scope.

Control and Safety of a 7 DOF Anthropomorphic Robitic Arm, AMIGO's first gesture.Within the Control Systems Technology research group of the Mechanical Engineering department of the Eindhoven University of Technology a care robot has been designed and manufactured. This first version of the robot named AMIGO (Autonomous Mate for IntelliGent Operations) is equipped with two anthropomorphic Philips Experimental Robotic Arms. Usage of the arms requires a control system with embedded safety that can communicate with the higher level software provided in ROS (Robotic Operating System, www.ros.org). First the interfacing between the arms and the pc is taken care of. A control structure is created in the Orocos realtime environment (Open RObot COntrol Software, www.orocos.org). This control structure is then equiped with a safety handler guaranteeing safe operation of the arm.
