Chavo is a founding Partner and Qualifying Broker with Base 5 Retail. His focus is project leasing, tenant representation, & investment sales. He is an expert deal maker who recognizes the specific challenges affecting today’s CRE market and has been instumental in leasing up some of the most prominent shopping centers in NM.Chavo has nearly 20 years of real estate experience representing some of the largest REIT & portfolio owners in the southwest including Kimco, GNL, VEREIT/CIM, Weingarten, GE Capital, North American Development Group, Simon CRE, Columbus Pacific, among others. He has also handled numerous tenant expansion and roll-out plans in New Mexico and El Paso including Ross, Cavender’s Western Wear, Wendy’s, Chase Bank, Jersey Mikes, Tropical Smoothie, and Marco’s Pizza, to name a few.Chavo studied Management Information Systems at the University of New Mexico, and brings a strong technology and project management background to the table which has proven to be very beneficial in this industry.Outside of the office Chavo spends his time skiing, mountain biking, and hiking 14ers in Colorado with his wife Danielle and their dogs Maverick and Stout.
