I am a designer of Automotive seats and interiors. I work in a team environment to develop visual themes for automotive interiors. We analyze and project future needs and visual trends based on what is happening in various industries. This can include the fashion and home goods industries. From those trends, we develop sketches based on the visual and functional needs of various clients. These sketches are further refined into presentation renderings. The 3-D cad models are over seen by our group. If need be, tape drawings are developed by us to communicate our intent. We work with various groups to oversee the development of actual properties or mockups. These groups may be trim support, clay modellers, or hard part model makers.
