HR can make or break a company. Professionals in HR deal with rules, regulations, compliance policies, and employment laws, but ultimately, what we do is manage the structure that manages the people. Companies with a positive HR presence, effective HR programs, and HR leadership that cares about the employees are a best-case scenario for company success. That's why I love what I do. I thrive on working with and helping others in a way that supports company strategic initiatives and goals. It's not easy, but it's rewarding.Early in my career, I held operations and customer service management roles, including managing HR for my teams. Then I took an extended leave to raise a family. When I returned to the workforce, I accepted an HR Specialist role that very quickly turned into an HR Manager role. As HR Manager, I built a robust HR program and company culture from scratch that has significantly turned around employee performance, engagement, and retention.My goal is to remain in HR and move into higher-level roles with a company that values its employees.
