My role is to support in the coordination and management of shipments as requested by the customer. It includes data entry, tracking and tracing, securing equipment, setting appointments and maintaining a thorough understanding of the TMS. The work includes short and long haul (OTR), as well as drayage and intermodal modes of transport.The competencies required in this role are strong customer service, accepting accountability, technical expertise, displaying creativity, acting with integrity, and delivering consistent, high quality work in a fast-paced environment. Ensuring results is a must as driving profitability is the focus. Supporting others to do their part on top of my own has been a key in the effective means of achieving results.

By this time, the Landscaping and Agriculture departments merged to make a much more effective Grounds Department. This provided me with much more experience in team leadership, management and project coordination. What I enjoyed most about this position was the expanded freedom to accomplish the department goals, and greater access to resources and manpower to do it. Things were still very fluid from the helm as it provided maximum leverage of resources, and that further grew my ability to adjust to changing conditions.

My work in the Agriculture Department was tough, trying, and a constant push to think and act most effectively with my time. Having had no previous experience, I had to learn fast and be quick to comprehend that vast amounts of information coming at me. This unique training experience taught me strong initiative, and made me into a resolute self-starter. This intense environment quickly forged me into the department lead under the director.

In my time under Mr. Schurter, we laid the foundation for the Agriculture Department of The Restored Church of God. This involved an extensive Master Plan, agricultural field work, construction of a pole barn, course development for two classes under the Ambassador Center training program, and a range of responsibilities, tasks, and support functions. It was a fast, hard, and high pressure experience that I deeply appreciate.

Following Graduation from A&M in Galveston, I was eager to return to Ohio to help advance the growing new plans. Having extensive computer experience (and a degree I could show for), an office job became more fitting. It was in my work there where I developed a relationship with Mr. Dale Schurter, whom I would come to serve personally in the newly developing Agriculture Program on the western side of the now 98-acre Campus.

When I heard The Restored Church of God was beginning grounds development, I was eager to come help. As one of many on the beginning Landscaping Crew, we began preparing for and laying sod, planting trees, working with irrigation, and manicuring what we developed on the first 20-acres.Following my summer work, I returned to Texas to finish my education in A&M University at Galveston.

This involved work on business and residential rental properties, inside and out. This was a great way to help build the family business and gain great experience.
