Many people call me workaholic, but in fact I put energy in everything I decide to do, and my job was only one of those things. After 15 years dedicated to education and work I decided to take a break and have time to focus on myself without worrying what would come next. So, here it is where my sabbatical starts.Even though I love caos, I'm also methodical, so I had to plan at least the first 6 months. My initial plan was: 2 months helping my parents on their business, travel for 3 months and 1 month to do absolute nothing and figure out what to do the next 6 months.The 2 months with my parents become 6, and I could never imagine that we would have a pandemic in the next year, but if it wasn't for those 4 extra months we wouldn't have so many controls that enabled my father to work confortable from home. One thing is to live with your parents while you grow up, other is to spend 6 months 15 years after you left, but this time by choice! I had those talks that I couldn't when I was 17, we also shared an adventure worth mentioning: a 7 day walk in the Path of Faith - there is no better way to deepen connections with your folks than talk and drink cheap wine in plastic cup after a 30km walk on foot in the middle of the woods.As a kids I shared a bedroom with my sister, but since I left home the most that we spend together were weekends. Living in the same city again reassured me that she's still my best friend... she also has two kids and I bonded so deep with them in a way that will remain for life!I only spent 1 month traveling, but also 1 month doing social work and other 3 months workings on 3 different startups (where I had offers to stay). The only part that I followed was the 1 month doing nothing.I also studied philosophy, meet a lot of people, read more books than I had read the previous 3 years. By the end I got to know me better and basically nothing went as I planned, but it was way better than I expected, it was one of the best years of my life.
