Hello! My name is Brandon Bui. I am a recent graduate from the University of Washington with my Bachelor's of Science in Computer Science and Software Engineering with a focus in Information Assurance and Cybersecurity and currently working at Costco Wholesale as an Application Security Analyst.I have had previous experience working as an IT Assistant at the University of Washington's Institute for Protein Design where I have had the opportunity to develop internal web tools using PHP, JS, and HTML, scope out design requirements for future software projects, provide technical support to the lab, and gain an understanding of enterprise level networks, device and user management, and security. Additionally, I have worked as an IT Intern at St. Thomas School where I was able to learn the fundamentals of IT and information security. During my time at UW I was the Vice President of the GrayHat Cybersecurity club where I organize and present weekly tutorials and workshops on various cybersecurity topics such as IT/security fundamentals, networking, active directory domain services, and security/penetration testing tools to prepare for the National Collegiate Cyber Defense Competition. Additionally, I worked with the Security in Emerging Environments Research Group at UW Bothell under a graduate student to develop a privacy-preserving video-sharing mobile application.
