•Collaboratively designed a fully–LED lighting solution consisting of a turn indicator, signature light, clearance lamp, side marker, and reflex for an EV—the solution incorporates all of the lit functions on one PCB and one reflector, thus improving the project budget via fewer parts, and resulting in potential patents•Took internal specifications, customer requests, and regulatory requirements (i.e. FMVSS 108) into account while designing effective signaling solutions for the aforementioned headlamp, and for other lighting projects/technologies as well•Conducted internal and external reviews with customers, suppliers, mechanical experts, other departments (styling, tooling, methods, rheology, optics, mechatronics) during headlamp development in order to ensure robust and manufacturable products•Co-led a team of eight design techs/engineers at a remote technical center, facilitating daily CAD updates, ensuring the quality of work, and growing the autonomy of the team

•Increased CATIA proficiency and began to grow automotive lighting knowledge through completing engineering changes (CATIA 3D parts/assemblies) and technical drawing updates, while respecting the milestones of each project•Created and maintained an extensive headlamp assembly drawing for an OEM that was a new customer, providing a valuable source of information for both internal and customer stakeholders during post–TKO support and changes•Validated engineering changes using 3D printed parts and GPS (structural analysis) simulations, saving time and resources by avoiding excessive re–working•Consistently completed timely and high–quality CAD changes in CATIA and organized the data in a PLM web client, demonstrating the value of on–site design resources when remote ones were not assigned or available, which also led to the development of helpful methodologies (i.e. improved translation and analysis processes for scanned part data)

•Created and maintained load diagrams and CAD drawings for a hydroelectric canal project using SketchUp and AutoCAD, used Excel macros and functions to create timing plans and archive client data, saving hours per document•Conducted an energy audit using a thermographic camera, then compiled and analyzed the results to prepare an energy improvement report that had the potential to save the client $10k USD/year
