Climate Adaptation CoordinatorNorth Bay Climate Adaptation Initiative Jan 2011 - Sep 2012Santa Rosa, Cao The North Bay Climate Adaptation Initiative (NBCAI) is a coalition of natural resource managers, policy makers, and scientists committed to working together to create positive solutions to the problem of climate adaptation for the ecosystems and watersheds of Sonoma County.o Members are experts and conservation leaders drawn from natural resource science and management organizations throughout the region.o Since climate adaptation is ultimately a regional issue, our goal is to pilot an approach in Sonoma County that can be extended throughout the North Bay as a whole.o Ongoing work is accomplished through three working groups and a coordination committee: Monthly meetings are held on 1) Public Policy, 2) Habitat Conservation and Stewardship, 3) Science and Technology, and 4) Coordination.o My role was to provide central administrative coordination, attend and take notes at all meetings, assist with development of a long-range fundraising strategy, create an outreach presentation to attract and retain new members, and maintain the organizational website.
