Contractor assigned to Blue Shield of California (BSC) in San Francisco, CA. Tested BSC public-facing web portals and interactive voice recognition (IVR) systems. Worked with cross-functional teams, including business analysts, developers, and QA in agile environment. o Designed, wrote, and ran initial test suite across multiple releases of a clinical code editing simulation tool used by BSC providers via provider web portal.o Contributor to project that retired a legacy system that saved BSC over $11M.o Quickly learned BSC business needs and worked closely with business analysts.

Wrote technical documentation and created textual content for enterprise web-based eDiscovery / Information Lifecycle Governance (ILG) applications, including all end-user documentation, internal REST APIs, and all product user interface text. Applied structured authoring and DITA principles to create and reuse content. Made web applications self-documenting to the extent possible and applied the progressive disclosure model to show content as it's needed, including heavy use of embedded and programmatic assistance.

Led globally dispersed QA teams in the testing of 2 enterprise web-based eDiscovery / ILG applications. This included development of large numbers of automated tests using JUnit, Selenium, and TestNG. Wrote detailed test plans and test design specifications. Kept test teams on track on tight development schedules. Automated many activities, including executing build verification tests, posting build verification test results, security testing, and static and run-time code coverage.
