About Bryce Gillespie
Bryce is South African born and raised, now living in the USA with his gorgeous Oregonian wife. Bryce detests writing in the third person, but since both the second person and John Grisham ignored numerous requests to write his bio for him, he’s had to settle for doing it himself. He’s “worked” in the wine industry since 2010 with time spent in the cellar during harvest in South Africa for two vintages and France for one. He worked in Oregon’s Willamette Valley for a year and a half before shipping back to South Africa in 2016. He landed at Backsberg Estate Cellars with hopes and dreams of selling so much South African wine to the USA that they wouldn’t know what to do with it all and he would then retire to the South of France and drink wine all day, occasionally taking a break to restock the cheese plate.He returned to the USA in 2019 to marry the woman of his dreams and took a job with a killer little wine importing company called Marquee Selections. He now travels all over the US slinging hooch from some of the world’s greatest wine regions with one goal in mind for himself and everyone else: Drink more wine.
