Hello, my name is Bridget Conway and I am currently a graduate student at the University of New Hampshire studying Occupational Therapy.I have always been an empathetic and caring person towards others and always enjoyed helping other people even if it's in small ways. Growing up I spent time helping out in my mothers classroom where she teaches special needs preschool students. This is where I was first introduced to occupational therapy (OT), and when I took an interest in studying occupational therapy I took up opportunity to shadow the OT working at my mothers school, as well as an internship at the Mayflower Nursing and Rehabilitation facility where I was able to shadow occupational therapists, physical therapists, and speech therapists. I was also given opportunities to assist in patients interventions with the occupational and physical therapists during my time there. I am an extremely hardworking individual who will put everything into achieving goals and exceeding expectations. I have built up strong time management and organizational skills and am skilled in finding creative ways to problem solve.
