This role involves managing existing clients and developing new clients - offering them a wide range of platforms on which to advertise e.g. in print, online and niche publications. By using relevant marketing information I can advise businesses to what platform they should advertise in. This is also aided by the use of a Microsoft Customer Relationship Management system. I currently deal with the motor sector. Previously I have covered the retail sector as well where I have delivered a project with the East Lindsey District Council to provide strategic advice to local businesses on their advertising strategies. I have also organised publications from start to finish, putting together the colour schemes of the publication, editorial and processing the plans before going to print, whilst also selling on them. I have previously managed accounts within the motor trade sector. I managed small independent traders and national accounts such as Hartwell Ford, Stoneacre Fiat, Wilson & Co Vauxhall. I have to evaluate each relationship differently to establish needs and match to available products. I also undertake activities outside of work hours to cement relationships and I am happy to go that extra mile to provide excellent customer service.

Tracker and Marker. This role involved checking the quality and correct identification markings of steel. To ensure that the customer’s requirements were met and that it was dispatched on time. The role also involved stock checking. This role was temporary.

Field Sales Executive. This role involved merchandising, stock control, relationship management to name a few skills learned and developed. Working with big retailers such as Asda, Woolworth’s and House of Fraser the role involved long hours and travelling around Lincolnshire, Nottinghamshire and Yorkshire. A large part of the role was meeting deadlines to coincide with regional and national television advertising. Having good relationships within the stores was essential, so that the best locations could be acquired to maximise sales and create brand and product awareness. In my time at JML I managed Asda Lincoln to achieving the second highest sales for JML, beating other stores such as Manchester, Sheffield and Newcastle.
