Bertrand is a design and innovation management not-for-profit organization manager and sustainable design advisor with more than 20 years experience. He is a confirmed lecturer who eagerly advocates for design’s social, environmental and economic impacts, for the betterment of the world. After graduating from the School of Design at Université de Montréal, he practiced design in a studio, as well as in a manufacturing company. He joined the Institute for Product Development as the Sustainable Design Advisor and became the Manager Director of the Institute in 2012, where he developed private and public partnerships, both locally and internationally, helping organizations improve their innovation practices. Currently, he is also acting President of the Quebec Association of Industrial Designers (ADIQ), Member fo the Board of Recyc-Québec and participates as an advisor on many public and sectorial committees and juries.Dans les domaines du design et de la gestion de l'innovation, Bertrand est un directeur d’organisation à but non lucratif et un conseiller en écoconception avec plus de 20 ans d’expérience. Conférencier confirmé, il défend avec ardeur l’apport que le design peut avoir sur les plans sociaux, environnementaux et économiques. Après avoir obtenu son diplôme de l'École de design de l'Université de Montréal, il a exercé le design en studio ainsi que dans l’industrie manufacturière. Il a rejoint l'Institut de développement de produits en tant que conseiller en écoconception et en est devenu le directeur général en 2012, où il a développé de nombreux partenariats privés et publics, à la fois localement et internationalement, aidant les organisations et entreprises à améliorer leurs pratiques d'innovation. Il occupe actuellement la présidence de l'Association des dessigners industriels du Québec (ADIQ), membre du conseil d'administration de Recyc-Québec et participe à titre de conseiller à de nombreux comités et jurys publics et sectoriels.
