Supervise a small team of Farm Technicians and manage the day-to-day operations of the current facility. Daily and weekly planning of tasks for the farm team is a major part of my role. The tasks typically include sowing and harvesting with the R&D team, mixing dry fertilizers, taking water quality measurements and comparing to previous data.

Worked with a small team to grow plants aeroponically in a controlled environment. The majority of the work done was sowing seeds, harvesting produce, cleaning trays, and taking stock and inventory. During this transitional period in the company, I often helped with work outside my department like construction of a larger prototype farm and other.

Westport, CT

At Hummock Island, everyone learned how to do everything since it was a small team. We all took part in working on the upwellers with the seedlings just as much as we went out into Long Island Sound on the 40ft barge to haul the fully matured oysters. The bulk of the work was physical labor, dragging cages around to different depths in a salt water pond.

Newport, RI

Worked directly with several species of marine animals. The work included cleaning tanks, checking and changing filters, feeding the animals, and interacting with the public at different stations.
