Worked under the supervision of the City Engineer, Garry Nathan, and collaborated with various departments to support capital improvement projects, stormwater management initiatives, and emergency response planning.Key Responsibilities:Support Capital Improvement Projects: Assist in providing design, construction inspection, and administration services for infrastructure projects including parks, buildings, sidewalks, and bridges.Stormwater Management: Contribute to the implementation of the MS4 Storm Water Program, focusing on reducing pollutants in stormwater runoff through the development of management programs and adherence to EPA regulations.Data Compilation and Mapping: Utilize GIS tools such as the Stormwater Infrastructure Online Mapper to compile data on catch basins, manholes, combined sewer systems (CSS), and CSO locations. Prioritize maintenance tasks based on proximity to water bodies and downtown areas.Annual Reporting: Assist in compiling information and formatting official government documents such as the MS4 annual report and the WSEP Small System Emergency Response Plan. Ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with regulatory requirements.Interdepartmental Collaboration: Work closely with various departments including fire, police, city planner, comptroller, public works, and stormwater management coalition to develop and update emergency response plans and coordinate infrastructure projects.Professional Development: Engage in continuous learning opportunities and professional development activities to enhance technical skills and knowledge in civil engineering, stormwater management, and emergency response planning.
