Brian was quick to embrace the processes and the benefits they would provide the projects. He recognized and articulated the benefits more quickly than most of the other senior executives. The result of these implementing the quality processes was to move the Communications/High Tech North America practice to CMMI level 3. Because of the independent work style, I collected feedback from the project partners to help assess how the individual team members were interacting with the executives. Brian received higher responses, especially considering he was the most junior member of the team. His normal style and presentation were well suited to this challenge of balancing enforcement with persuasion. This amiable style was also useful in Brian’s role as instructor for the Accenture Delivery Methods. The team presented multiple full day sessions for the executives in North America, typically to 50-100 executives in each session. Brian introduced humor to his topics, keeping the attendees engaged in what could otherwise have been very dry topics. He was relaxed and polished in presenting the topics, providing relevant, illuminating real-world examples to improve understanding. Brian observed and implemented improvements and extensions to the processes we were implementing. I appreciated his support for our efforts and his continuing improvements push to do more than just what was asked."
