As a Behaviour Change Officer in Wellington City Council's Climate Change Response Unit, I am responsible for developing initiatives that encourage more Wellingtonians to take up active modes of transport.Key Achievements:-Delivered Shelly Play an event attended by 2500 Wellingtonians who got to experience Shelly Bay Road and Miramar Avenue in Te Motu Kairangi as a playground, free from traffic. The event involved successfully contracting a Traffic Management company, advertising the event effectively by developing a comms and marketing strategy and working alongside organizations and volunteer groups across the city to deliver activities along the route.-Delivered Road Safety Week an annual week of road safety events and initiatives. This involved partnering with Age Concern, Beam and Flamingo and Wellington Schools to develop successful road safety events as well as creating exciting social media content to spread awareness of key road safety messages.-Partnering with the Police and Waka Kotahi to deliver the Better Together Drink Driving Initiative across the Wellington City Area.

The Young Enterprise Trust is a social enterprise that works with over 5,000 students in Year 9-13 across Aotearoa, running facilitated programmes in schools, trips and residential experiences to inspire the next generation of leaders and change makers. The trust also leads on delivering the New Zealand Business Hall of Fame and other prestigious events.Key Responsibilities:• Delivered “It’s Business Time Conference” at Te Papa to over 150 secondary teachers over 2 days.• Led on all logistics for the BP Business Challenge including liaising with sponsors and corporate volunteers, planning all 35 programmes including developing resources, communicating efficiently with schools and pivoting effectively when programmes had to be rescheduled due to industrial action.• Planned and organised Alumni Awards Gala at Icehouse for over 100 attendees, including catering, speakers, AV, awards, ticket sales and marketing. Achievements:• Redesigned our evaluation methods for BP Business Challenge improving our impact reporting to schools, resulting in increased school engagement for 2024. • Led effective communications and social media strategy which resulted in doubling of nominations for alumni awards, successfully growing our alumni network who are key ambassadors for the trusts brand.

Bristol And The South West

St Mungo’s is a leading UK based homelessness charity that has over 1500 employees and delivers 180 services nationally, supporting 25,000 people annually. Key Responsibilities:• Recruited, trained and supported a team of 70 volunteers, volunteering in 25 different roles in 22 local projects supporting homeless adults or those at risk. • Created, organised and delivered a comprehensive learning and development programme for over 400 volunteers and apprentices, including: an eLearning platform, self-directed learning toolkits and online and face to face trainings with internal and external experts. • Led on designing and delivering successful reward and recognition strategies including social media campaigns, thank you videos, wellbeing guides and online workshops.Achievements:• Coordinated local volunteers from across the community and multiple charities to lead on Bristol City Councils government funded “Everybody In” emergency response to homelessness during the pandemic. • Supported over 15 volunteers with lived experience to progress into paid opportunities with the charity and across the sector. • Regional network lead for Diversity and Inclusion.

IntoUniversity is a leading UK education charity that runs 39 local learning centres, seeing 40,000 students annually. IntoUniversity works with students aged 7-18 who are currently underrepresented in tertiary education. Key Responsibilities:• Managed a team of 4 Education Workers, and a busy delivery schedule seeing over 900 students annually.• Planned and delivered innovative workshops to inspire students to apply to higher education.• Managed a local learning centre including risk assessing off-site trips and events managing the upkeep of the site and ensuring quality programmes were delivered under a tight budget.• Reported to stakeholders and funders and collaborated with King’s College London’s Widening Participation team to co-construct and implement widening access initiatives.• Effectively monitored and evaluated programmes and maintained student database through Salesforce. Achievements:• Managed over 40 volunteers including processing criminal convictions clearances and ensuring volunteers were fully trained, supported and celebrated within their roles.

• Responsible for leading a team of 4 Education Workers in delivering the Secondary FOCUS programme, ensuring that we meet targets and adapt workshops to guarantee quality across the programme.• Confidently able to communicate and negotiate with our partner schools and outside stakeholders about the aims of the IntoUniversity programme.• Planned, prepared and delivered innovative workshops and resources to inspire and support students from under-represented backgrounds to apply to higher education.• Evaluated impact of Secondary Programme and led team of 20 education workers to adapt our secondary curriculum to ensure it met the needs of all learners. Achievements:• Empowered students to have a real say in how our centre supported them by setting up a Student Council which successfully fundraised for 8 new laptops and a visit to Brixton Cultural Archives.

Chatteris is a not for profit graduate programme based in Hong Kong that aims to supply all schools with access with Native English Teachers.Key Responsibilities:• Supported local Hong Kong students to improve their English, develop young leaders and promote cultural exchange.• Ran teacher training and development workshops for the 2015 intake of English tutors.Achievements:• Led a team that planned and fundraised for three successful English confidence summer camps that impacted over 36 local Hong Kong students from disadvantaged backgrounds.• Facilitated a partnership between Chatteris and Room to Read, a charity that focuses on literacy and gender equality in education.• Managed a team of eight English tutors at a busy and prestigious local Hong Kong primary school.• Planned, promoted and ran a successful scavenger hunt fundraiser that was featured in Time Out Hong Kong.
