I work full time as a Patient Access Coordinator for AHN. My responsibilities include patient registration, insurance eligibility queries/copay collection, and proficiency in Epic Systems, Visage, and PowerShare in order to both register patients, create insurance estimates, and securely share PHI with providers (Protected Health Information).

Keyholder and shift leader at the Steeping Leaf Bistro. My responsibilities include opening and closing the restaurant, including the POS system, making deposits as needed, and maintaining a clean work environment that is up to Health inspection standards. Other duties included training new employees, working closely with management regarding store improvements and creative decisions, and warmly welcoming up to 50 guests at a time. I also handled guest complaints, refunds, and served guests in a timely manners. My other duties in front also included making teas, serving pastries, setting reservations and answering phone calls, and bussing tables in order to maintain guest satisfaction. Through this position, I have gained valuable leadership experience and business knowledge that I am beyond grateful for. This was by far my favorite job while in school.
