Master Thesis entitled "Hemodynamic Monitoring from SpO2 measurements", this thesis was a collaboration between the University of Coimbra and Philips Research (Eindhoven, Netherlands).This project investigates if the hemodynamic state of a patient can be determined from signals measured by two pulse oximeters placed on different body locations via sophisticated data-driven signal processing techniques, and targets the study on the performance of pulse oximetry measurements (Matlab).

Internship developed in the department of Patient Care and Monitoring in Eindhoven, Netherlands (under Erasmus). During the first part of my internship my tasks included a literature study of state-of-the-art (cardiovascular system, hemodynamics and pulse oximetry), creating a straightforward model for simulating biosignals (PPG, ABP and ECG), developing, testing and verification of an algorithm that perfomed feature extraction to those signals. During the second part of my internship, my tasks included signal processing and analysis of clinical data (ABP, PPG), documentation and report. I had biweekly meetings with my supervisors to present and interpretate results.
