The core responsibilities of this role were to oversee the day to day running of the salon, manage stock control and ordering, meet with new and existing suppliers, create and implement marketing strategies, manage HR and disciplinary, analyse team education needs and deliver relevant training, perform treatments, report figures and work to budgets.I addition to this I also wrote several articles for the MEN newspaper, and appeared on local radio. In addition to the day to day running of the counter and its productivity, I was also selected to be the area staff trainer for new starters. Furthermore I was also taken with a select group to support a tour of one of Aveda’s authors Dr Jennifer Harper, in Ireland. I was there to perform treatments and represent the brand.
