About Sean Becker
It is my privilege to support Montana's hospitals and caregivers in their efforts to improve quality, cost, access, and outcomes. Prior to leading the Montana Hospital Association's Ventures Division, I served as an administrator at the Montana Department of Commerce, the Mayor of Bozeman, president of the Northern Rocky Mountain Economic Development District, member of the Governor's Economic Development Advisory Council, the City of Bozeman Economic Development Advisory Board, and the Bozeman Area Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors. Over the last two+ decades my professional leadership has focused on data science, finance, and business development. This includes 10 years as the research director of a market research firm. Five years operating a manufacturing business in Gallatin County, MT. Three years as a business development finance professional for MoFi (Montana Idaho Community Development Corporation). And recently, five years as the State of Montana's tourism, economic development finance, research, business and technical assistance administrator on the front line of our state's economy. I am a graduate of Denison University, Leadership Montana, UC Berkeley Executive Leadership Program (BEXL), The National Development Council (NDC) Economic Development Finance Professional (EDFP) program and have served on numerous public and private boards. Two of my favorites have been the Montana Manufacturing Extension Center (MMEC) and TechLink. I was recently governor-appointed a Montana Ambassador and look forward to sharing my passion for living and doing business in Montana.

As mayor, Bozeman's chief elected official, it was a privilege to oversee commission meetings, appointments to key boards and establish the policy direction for the fastest growing micropolitan area in the United States that now makes up almost half of the state's GDP growth. The Bozeman City Commission exercises quasi-judicial authority over land-use decisions and acts on behalf of its residents to improve the health and welfare of the community and state we call home. Commissioner/Deputy-Mayor
As an at-large elected member of the Bozeman City Commission we established healthy policies governing city operations, ordinances and resolutions to craft a municipal code that reflects the values of the community. With input from the public, the commission levies taxes, adopts the city's yearly budget and appoints members to citizen advisory boards. Decisions made by the Commission are carefully weighed to protect the health, safety, general welfare and future well-being of the citizens of Bozeman. Five commissioners (including mayor) are elected at-large to four-year, overlapping terms.

As vice president I was responsible for crafting and implementing operations policies, marketing/business strategies and all corporate finance. This leadership role required competent expertise in proposal writing, cost estimating, production of bid docs, management of production schedules and negotiation of proposal timelines and budgets. Montana Craftsman Woodworks, a premium door, cabinet, flooring and millwork manufacturer, served the north central US markets.
Research Director
As lead data scientist I supervised the research staff, managed research design, project implementation, statistical assessment and economic and quantitative analysis. This included advanced statistical analysis, database management/design, econometrics, data-mining, direct marketing and research techniques and technologies. In this role I earned two IEDC research reports of the year for their segments.

Research conducted by Graduate Research Assistants (GRAs) is a significant portion of the total sponsored research at MSU. The research is a component of the faculty advisors research that is directly supported by external funding. Firefighter, Emergency Medical Services
The Granville Township Fire Department (GTFD), is operated by the Granville Township Board of Trustees. The GTFD serves Granville Township including the Village of Granville and Denison University. It also serves portions of McKean Township and Union Township under a contractual agreement. The Department is funded by Granville Township fire levies (4.8 mills) as well as contract fees from McKean and Union Townships. The GTFD is staffed with a combination of career and volunteer members. Paid staffing is scheduled to maintain four personnel on duty at all times, twenty-four hours a day. There are currently ten career firefighter/paramedics, sixteen intermittent firefighter/paramedics, and twenty-five volunteer firefighter/EMTs and paramedics. Currently, the Department fleet consists of a 1500 Gallons-Per-Minute (GPM) Compressed Air Foam System (CAFS) pumper, a 1200 GPM rescue/pumper, a 93-foot aerial platform, an 1800 gallon tanker and two advanced life support ambulances. The Village of Granville was founded in 1805 by pioneers from Massachusetts & Connecticut.
