As a ski instructor at Steamboat Resort, I coach and supervise groups of 1-6 children ages 3-6 during day-long programs on the slopes. I establish relationships based on trust, communicate lesson objectives to students and parents, assess individual progress, and maintain a safe and fun learning environment. In addition, I completed 35 clinic hours to improve my own skiing technique, movement analysis, and teaching skills.

As an intern at Walden, a luxury inn, spa, and club located in northeastern Ohio, I gained varied hospitality experience in multiple departments. I worked at the spa's front desk, greeting and directing customers, booking appointments over the phone and in-person, and completing computer projects to improve the spa's back-end organization. I also worked as a hostess at the Barn, Walden's high-end restaurant. As a hostess, I seated guests, scheduled reservations, communicated with customers and restaurant staff, and provided attentive and professional customer service throughout all my interactions. I continued this position remotely by writing blog posts for Walden's website (yourwalden.com) on topics ranging from golf to skincare.

I started as an intern at Code Ninjas before onboarding as a part-time employee a couple months later--the environment and fulfillment hooked me. In this role, I introduced children ages 4-14 to Scratch Junior, Scratch, and JavaScript. Their smiles, giddy excitement, and growing self-esteem lit me up every day.
