JUNK has evolved from solely an online presence to producing arts events. I’ve taken a practical, hands-on approach, creating opportunities for myself and for my peers through JUNK’s productions; creating a space where like minded creatives can connect regardless of their differing practices. I strive to be resourceful and this has resulted in obtaining spaces for JUNK’s pop up events for as little to no cost at all. This initiative is most welcomed as we are currently a non-profit organisation, any money made goes towards future events and ensuring artists are paid. Killer Heel Confessionals | Arts Event April - March 2023 Solo show by performer and dance-maker Hank Bamberger, co-produced with JUNK. Bamberger performed throughout this immersive event in 10-inch heels, interacting with many industrial items such as ladders and hand selected props.Inner Trance | Arts Event Feb - April 2022 Group arts event showcasing queer artists of the Midlands, across the art forms of visual art, contemporary dance and DJ sets.STATIC | Arts Event Dec 2021 - Jan 2022 Group arts event showcasing Birmingham based performers, textiles, painting and film artists with a social and political commentary.
