A full member of CIEEM, currently working towards Chartered Ecologist status. Specialist skills include ornithological, great crested newt and white-clawed crayfish surveys, holding NE licences for the two latter species. Extensive experience of protected species work (including bats, reptiles, water vole, badger and otter) and on a number of Environmental Impact Assessments (EIAs) in both the UK and Northern Ireland with a good working knowledge of CIEEM, DMRB and other relevant guidance. Further experience of working as an ecological supervisor on construction sites and practical mitigation schemes including the construction of artificial badger setts, otter holts and site specific breeding bird management. Hobbies include modern jive dancing, running and a variety of voluntary works, including holding a bird ringing permit from the BTO.
