Cat Programme Manager (Maternity Cover)Dance4 Dec 2011 - Sep 2012Nottingham, United KingdomThe purpose of the CAT Programme Manager role is to develop the Centre for Advanced Training (CAT) programme, funded by the Department for Education (DfE). The scheme is for young people with exceptional potential in dance, working in partnership with the Curriculum Development Group and external partners. Within this post I contributed to the recruitment and selection of students, agreed individual learning plans, managed and evaluated the programme, and worked with the Dance4 team to ensure appropriate marketing, communications and financial management. I also oversaw a research project commissioned by Dance4 and undertaken by Trinity Laban. I co-presented this research at the International Association for the Scientific Studies of Intellectual Disabilities (IASSID) conference in Nova Scotia, Canada.

For the past two years organised all parts of this event including managing the budget, liaising and working with the marketing team, supporting performing groups, liaising with the venue and technicians and event managing the day involving over 20 groups and 300 young people.I also helped co-ordinate the two full-time DédaDance Artists, arranging school and community projects and performances as well as the DédaAcademy classes that happened on a weekly basis. Including supporting performance groups at events, chaperoning and co-ordinating the audition process of the Gifted & Talent group, Bounceback. -

I planned, organised, marketed and managed all the opportunities for continual professional development, including the annual conference and AGM held at Elmhurst School for Dance, Birmingham and the Royal Opera House, London. This included allocating, liaising and contracting trainers and artists and monitoring the financial performance of all events and projects, focusing on income targets and monitoring expenditure. I updated the website, wrote, produced and sent a termly e-newsletter that is distributed to over 900 contacts as well as taking the lead on our social media communications such as facebook and Twitter.I managed partnerships with external agencies and attended strategic meetings as well as worked closely with the Executive Committee members, attended all meetings, minuting and updating on current activity.
