My career journey began with a career in behavioral health research and strategy to satisfy my curiosity in understanding human cognition and drive for innovation. I quickly learned that this field requires you to navigate institutional frameworks, and through experience and mentorship, I was motivated to pursue a dual master’s degree in public affairs and public health, where I learned the tactics, grit, and skill set needed to drive social change. Now a social impact strategist by training, I am seeking opportunities to build upon my current expertise and further my experience in managing multi-disciplinary teams utilizing data-driven solutions and strategic communication to enhance social impact initiatives. My professional experiences in the social sector improving behavioral health programs addressed large-scale social issues that impact one’s health, such as substance use, homelessness, low socioeconomic status, violence, suicide, grief, and trauma. Key skills I have gained from my employment and educational background are in project management, design thinking, intervention mapping, and working cross-departmentally to drive strategy and achieve measurable results.
