• Responsibilities include instructing on the climbing tower and various indoor walls as a qualified member of staff. I also assist fully qualified instructors (ML, SPA, MIA, etc) with outdoor sessions including climbing, caving and archery.

• Responsibilities include greeting clients, safety briefs, teaching correct equipment use and instructing a wide range of different groups. These include NICAS level 1 – 5 groups, parties, learn to belay courses and taster sessions among others.

Places include The Depot Climbing Center Leeds, The Leeds Wall, Aireborough Leisure Centre and various local schools.

• Responsibilities include instructing on the climbing tower as a qualified member of staff. This could be at various venues through the North. I also assist fully qualified instructors (ML, SPA, MIA, etc) in both the Lake District and Yorkshire with climbing and hill day activities. I started this post originally volunteering to work towards my NGB qualifications.

• Responsibilities included instructing groups of various ages and abilities, supervising children’s parties, running beginners courses for adult and family groups and working with NICAS level 1 and 2 groups. Other tasks included performing equipment, anchor and rope checks, first aid checks and organising route setting for both bouldering and top roping.
