This project supports unions who are working within the creative sector to organise and engage 'atypical workers', those who are on non traditional working contracts who are sometimes overlooked by unions. Initially I worked with the NVJ (journalists union) in the Netherlands, Muusikkojen liitto (musicians union) in Finland and SNJ, SNJ-CGT and CFDT plus Pigistes (journalists) in France. In this role I was responsible for the development & delivery of the TUC's Organising Academy, which was the flagship training programme in organising for the UK's sole confederation. Under my time there, the programme grew to include a comprehensive range of training and development for unions on all aspects related to organising.
