Developed, optimized, implemented and analyzed multiple disease relevant primary co-culture functional assays. Included FLS, T cell, monocyte and Treg primary cell types. Defined FACs analysis and cytokine expression read-outs. Contributed to generation of target lists from deep sequencing database. Transferred developed assay to high through-put screening group. This work resulted in targets achieving pre-project status in research pipeline. Developed myeloid cell line/primary T cell co-culture assay for orphan receptor/ligand pairing efforts. Identified myeloid specific orphan receptor with potential inhibitory activity when co-cultured with primary T cells. Worked toward elucidation of LAIR biology in the context of AID. This work resulted in LAIR2 achieving pre-project status.

Supported early and late stage immunology projects with multi-paramenter flow cytometry and in vitro primary cell assays, including Th1, Th2 and Th17 differentiation and cytokine characterization. Conducted literature review combined with in vitro characterization and analysis to help identify novel dual targeting agents for treating autoimmunity.

Managed multi-functional project-specific discovery team and developed reagents and assays for shRNA validation of Wnt pathway targets in the area of oncology.

Gained approval for Investigational Phase oncology project. Independently wrote project proposal and successfully defended project proposal to research management team.Validated oncology targets by RNAi with lentiviral shRNA delivery to host cell lines.Contributed to identification of IL-21 dependent ADCC activity.Evaluated novel proteins identified in genome mining efforts in various primary cell assays.

Evaluated the effect of IL-21 alone and in combination with other cytokines on the proliferation and differentiation of whole and selective compartments of mouse and human bone marrow and pbMNC populations.Contributed to large effort resulting in the cloning of thrombopoietin.
