Managed executive leadership transition of the statewide coalition, including coordinating the executive search committee; advancing JEDI initiatives by facilitating needs assessments between stakeholders, staff, and consultants; pivoting the statewide membership meeting from in-person to virtual in under three weeks; and securing $120K in under two weeks to prevent the eviction of survivors in emergency shelter.

Led a complete rebrand of the 40-year old coalition, including name, logo, and website with buy-in from internal and external stakeholders. Directed, edited, designed and co-authored a report synthesizing 30 years of data with policy recommendations. Developed turn-key public awareness communications used by nonprofit organizations, businesses, government agencies, and elected officials during the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic. As key spokesperson for the coalition, I regularly provided succinct messaging in interviews to local media, including print, radio, and television. Successfully transitioned the organization's three annual events - a statewide conference, report release, and memorial - into well-attended, compelling online experiences.

Developed and implemented external and internal communications strategies to uplift the organization's vision and values while advancing policy initiatives across key stakeholder audiences through digital and print media. I increased social media reach by 1500% in my first year at the coalition by creating turnkey communications strategies for member programs and marketing materials that cultivated and enhanced meaningful relationships with target audiences. I co-created ideation activities and materials for a statewide visioning process that involved over 100 key stakeholders. I also laid the groundwork for an outward messaging "pivot" based on the outcomes of the vision plan and shifting landscape of the movement to end intimate partner violence. Finally, I annually designed, co-drafted, and edited a 40-page report on domestic violence lethality in Minnesota.

In this role, I developed and executed a communications plan for all digital and print media alongside a development plan to grow a young-adult driven donor base and support programming. I ran successful special events that helped generate major funds to advance policy initiatives. I continued to iterate and refine the Choice Leadership Institute and Fellowship program, to diversify young adult engagement in the reproductive health/rights/justice movement in Minnesota.

I created all content for social media, website, press releases, and emails to 20,000+ membership base, while managing multiple fundraising efforts including events, direct-mail content, and grant writing. Used a human-centered design framework to create a new programming initiative aimed at developing young adult leaders in Minnesota's reproductive health/rights/justice movement. This program, the Choice Leadership Institute and Fellowship, engaged young leaders in a 3-day leadership institute and 6-month long fellowship. Finally, I researched, wrote, edited, and promoted a 28-page investigative report used to drive policy initiatives.

As the office manager, I maintained and utilized a confidential member and supporter database with over 40,000 unique users. I also managed accounts and expenditures for a $700,000+ budget with the executive director and bookkeeper. My skills and interests stretched beyond the scope of my position description, so instead of hiring an intern, I organized and publicized special events to raise funds and engage new donors. This included coordinating everything from logistics to design to overall messaging for peer-to-peer fundraising for the inaugural Run for Your Rights! 5K, which saw over 200 participants and raised over $16,000. Coordinated office administration and assisted with public relations.

Developed the mission, vision, and branding for an emerging tobacco policy and awareness organization representing young LGBTQ+ adults. Co-created policy initiatives aimed at LGBTQ+ youth-serving organizations and businesses, facilitated workshops on accountability and led presentations on health disparities in priority populations.
