I have returned to EPI to assistant the Marketing Manager to refresh the brand.

As Marketing Manager I was responsible for all the EPI external an internal communications for their offices based here in London, as well as the Houston, Perth, and Bogota offices.My responsibilities included the organisation and design of all exhibition, conference and event attendance. Events take place all over the world. Much of our focus lies on 2 or 3 major exhibitions each year, but also an increasing number of smaller regional events often need to be organised with short notice.I was also responsible for the content, design and maintenance our the company website, blogs and social media, PR, advertising and email marketing as well as other communications used within the organisation such as presentations, leaflets, infographics etc.One of my favourite parts of the job was the editing of the Consultants Newsletter where we shared internal news and information. I was also Social Secretary, so I loved to organise the company parties and days out to the races.

Working for such a large well known brand was a great experience to introduce me to the world of Marketing Communications.I started with Bernard Matthews as Events Manager, where I set-up and ran the Sampling teams, who toured the country on road-shows promoting our products. I moved on to Trade Communications, where I was responsible for marketing our products to retailers within the grocery industry. This included producing advertising for trade publications and organising exhibition events where we would have live cooking demonstrations to sample our products. Here I was able to work on interesting and exciting events, working on my own to meet deadlines and work to tight budgets and organise many other agencies and parties to achieve the common goal.

Straight after graduating I used my degree to learn seismic data processing for high res. 2D marine site surveys.This involved highly technical processing - at Svitzer as trainee processors we were taught the whole processing cycle from QC at the acquisition on the vessels through to all parameter decisions and through to final processing and presentation and reporting the final stack to the client.It was here that I took a secondment to the marketing department and discovered my real talent lies in the combination of creativity and design and the organisational skills needed in this area and I found my place in the work place.
