At StudyBlue, I was helping to bring educational tools to the devices that fit into the daily lives of millions of students worldwide. Previously, at Sharendipity we built a platform that allows anyone to build interactive content without the need to be a programmer. Lastly, at MyOutdoors, we allowed those in active lifestyles to journal and share their outdoor experiences.A long time ago, I worked with several visualization technologies. My research experience included publications in 2-D visualization of large hierarchical datasets in addition to remote and distributed rendering. I have also worked in volume visualization in the medical imaging field and in scientific visualization and analysis of atom probe data.I have always tried to take an active role in the local community. I co-chaired a committee that helped educate young professionals in areas of entrepreneurship and founded Propel Wisconsin Innnovation, a statewide organization aiming to drive entrepreneurship in education.
