Visual AI used to be complex and inaccessible. I co-founded Kaleido to change that, creating AI-powered tools for productivity and creativity. Our flagship product remove.bg is the image processing solution of choice for tens of millions of users each month.Building the products, the team and the company from scratch, I have worn many hats but today my focus is on the intersection between engineering and product management, setting the course to bring the latest state of the art in visual AI to millions of users worldwide.In 2021, Kaleido was acquired by Canva, and we have joined forces to empower the world to design with visual AI.

With thousands of new medical publications each day, it's practically impossible for practicing physicians to keep up.As CTO at Medbee, I developed a multi-platform app that makes medical knowledge easily accessible and connects doctors with the latest clinical information and each other. I built and led a talented team, turning the founder's vision into a scalable reality, with a strong emphasis on innovation and rapid iteration.In 2022, Medbee was acquired by Springer Nature Health, enabling the continued growth and expansion of the vision to deliver knowledge at the point of care.

I started ByteQ to create user-centric software for SMEs, startups, consumer brands, and the public sector. At ByteQ, we partnered with clients hungry for innovation, consulting on product management and software architecture. I built and led a small, talented team of engineers and designers to develop a wide range of projects, from small apps to large platforms. We delivered beautiful, functional, and user-friendly apps for web, mobile, and cloud through agile, iterative development.

Industrial automation can be significantly enhanced through advanced, distributed computing techniques, boosting efficiencies and failure resilience. At UT Vienna's Automation and Control Institute, I researched agent-based systems for industrial automation using novel distributed algorithmic approaches with ontologies through paper research, prototyping and evaluating systems both digitally and on physical testbeds. I co-authored several publications and presented my findings at conferences like the IEEE Conference on Industrial Informatics. Collaborations with key industry partners facilitated the practical implementation of these innovations into production environments, demonstrating significant improvements in industrial processes.
