We apply the next-generation earth system model, called Multi-Scale Infrastructure for Chemistry and Aerosols (MUSICA), to study the long-range transported air pollution over India. MUSICA enables global modeling with the option to have higher horizontal resolution over a refined region, in this case India. In other words, we can use MUSICA for regional air quality modeling while no boundary conditions are needed anymore.

We replaced Analog Ensemble (AnEn) technique with Conditional Variational AutoEncoder (CVAE) deep learning model for weather forecasting system. In AnEn, the whole historical data needs to be kept in the memory in order to find all historical forecasted and observed values analogous to the predicted value. However in CVAE technique, probability density function (PDF) of the historical dataset will be learned by the machine after training part and the model can will be able to generate the desired data from the trained model.
