Starting fresh out of high school, my first role was part of the clerical pool as a Clerk/Typist. I excelled in this role and gained the attention of senior management. Within 12 months I was asked to work on the Senior Executive floor (the youngest person to ever be considered), working with the Minister and Senior Executives. I then was successful in gaining a role as a Personal Assistant to the Engineers and later working to establish Ergon Energy's name & brand in Queensland. I eventually moved across to Ergon Energy in 1995 as Personal Assistant to the CEO.
