CurrentBelinda is an experienced commercial lawyer that specialises in procurement, technology and IP law. Belinda’s main areas of practice are Commonwealth Government procurement and contracting, including complex ICT contracts, cognitive computing, and intellectual property law. Belinda has worked with a wide range of government clients on very significant procurements, including whole-of-government agreements with major vendors and whole-of-government technology panels established by Finance and the Digital Transformation Agency.Prior to joining private practice in 2015, Belinda worked for the Commonwealth National Archives of Australia. Belinda's experience working at the Archives includes advising in the area of administrative law focusing on information laws such as privacy, archives and freedom of information.Belinda has extensive experience in a full range of legal services needed to ensure efficient and effective Commonwealth government procurement. These services include: Compliance with Australian Government procurement documentation and reporting policies, including the Commonwealth Procurement Rules. Compliance with relevant financial framework legislation under the Public Governance, Performance and Accountability Act 2013 (Cth), including applicable Accountable Authority Instructions.Drafting and reviewing RFT documentation.Tender compliance assessments, and advising on evaluation and probity issues.Contract drafting and negotiations.Ongoing advice including complex commercial, contracting, and intellectual property law issues.
