My range and depth of experience is far reaching and includes: • Providing advice and training about workplace health and safety compliance to clients, including providing advice to directors and officers about individual liability.• Representing employers in workplace health and safety investigations and defending prosecutions.• Conducting workplace investigations into serious safety incidents. • Undertaking workplace investigations for government and non-government enterprises concerning sexual harassment, bullying and other employee misconduct.• Acting for a number of clients in the Anti-Discrimination Commission, the Australian Human Rights Commission and the Queensland Civil and Administrative Tribunal defending complaints concerning discrimination in employment and the provision of services.• Providing assistance to employers in managing long term ill and injured employees, including obtaining relevant medical information, managing under performance and rehabilitation, responding to WorkCover claims, and defending termination decisions if required.• Advising and representing clients in response to discrimination, unfair dismissal and general protections claims.• Advising and representing clients about industrial matters such as right of entry, industrial action and industrial disputes.• Providing strategic advice to employers about industrial strategy and enterprise agreements.• Providing training to managers on workplace issues such as managing ill and injured employees, conducting a workplace investigation and performance management.• Drafting employment contracts, policies and other employment documents, .
