About Albert Bellamy

All my life, I’ve been a numbers guy. As a kid, I obsessed over baseball and football statistics. This fascination with data led me to earn degrees in Accounting, Economics, and Systems Analysis, where I delved deep into understanding how data interacts and represents behavior.Throughout my military career, I pursued every opportunity to solve problems through analytics. I'm the only Marine I know who smiles when he sees a spreadsheet! My skills in operations research, logistics, supply chain, and people analytics have been honed through years of practical experience. I’ve led work teams of up to 16 direct reports, coordinated complex projects, and used an analytical approach to solve problems in high-pressure situations. My strengths lie in written communication, public speaking, and adaptable leadership, always ready to take charge when others won’t.In the Marine Corps, I built a reputation as a miracle worker by turning around multiple failing work sections. In 2000, I took over a logistics maintenance section that was rated at 30% readiness and within three months, achieved a 97% rating on a rigorous logistics readiness evaluation. In 2004, I created an automated maintenance management process in Excel that saved thousands of working hours, years before the Marine Corps commissioned Oracle to automate that same process. During my deployment in Iraq in 2009, I saved taxpayers over $2 million by efficiently removing power equipment from my unit’s combat outpost when others wanted to abandon it. In 2014 in Afghanistan, I developed an innovative infographic that represented all current operations on one sheet, preventing wasteful redundancy and potential loss of life. In 2018, I analyzed a planned HR testing program, revealing it to be a waste of millions of taxpayer dollars and lobbied tirelessly until the program was canceled. In 2019, my Master’s Thesis analyzed a hastily planned incentive program, showing it to be ineffective and a waste of millions of dollars, though I moved on from that assignment before the program could be canceled. As a data analyst for Silvertone, I revitalized a dormant LinkedIn page, increasing the follower count tenfold in just 100 days. For six months, I managed the fastest-growing data site on LinkedIn, revamped the podcast format, and used LinkedIn tools to promote live chat events, resulting in a 700% increase in participation and viewership. I enjoy engaging with other veterans and members of the data community, always eager to connect and share insights.Send me a message if you want to connect!
