Since May 2018 I have been working freelance. I am available to do the following on retainer or freelance basis:• social media management• content creation• video editing • graphic design• email design, creation, and distribution

After joining the Arabian Radio Network to assist in graphic design for the 9 radio stations in the network, my eye for detail and brand awareness quickly moved me to be the sole graphic designer, social media manager and video editor for Virgin Radio Dubai – the UAE’s biggest radio brand.Daily responsibilities include: • Copywriting content for Virgin Radio’s website with local, station and commercially led content.• Graphic design including logos, posters and all brand collateral for both radio station promotions and clients.• Editing videos and creating video graphics for online, social media, event screens and cinema. This included short social media videos for The Kris Fade Show, long-form stories of promotions and animated videos to promote ongoing events and promotions.• Designing and managing e-mail campaigns to keep audiences engaged in the brand and increase participation in large product research surveys. After redesigning the way these emails appeared and were written, CTR increased by 600%.• Fully managing all digital aspects of music festival Virgin Radio RedFestDXB. This was managed by myself from start to finish including creating the brand identity, creating content for the social media channels, coordinating email campaigns with partners, managing social media and google advertising, community management to ensure the audience had a fully positive experience.

In November 2017 I joined as Content Manager at the Deliveroo UAE office. Working as part of the marketing team, I would write, create, film, edit, photograph and co-ordinate any and all content that was to be shared online. Daily responsibilities included: * Copywriting content for Deliveroo’s Foodscene blog, these articles would include local restaurant profiles, food trends, and cuisine inspiration, these blog posts improved my SEO knowledge significantly and improved audience engagement to the website. * Designing, creating and distributing email at a mass marketing scale to incredibly specific audiences.* Directing, producing, filming and editing videos for Deliveroo’s social media accounts, including Talal Tastes Stuff, which was a recognized video series by all of Deliveroo’s 12 international markets gaining close to 1 million views in total.* Set up, break down and management of on-group events, these included designing the stands, competition props, and freebies at the likes of The Dubai Motor Show and the Color Run

From November 2016 I was the presenter of Hi FM’s Chilled Lounge, a 2 hour show between 11pm and 1am. I also feature on Hi FM’s Morning Show with Robin Banks and George Ryland, these features can also be heard on The Worst of the Hi FM Morning Show Podcast ranked No. 1 on the iTunes comedy podcast chart in Oman.

In my short time at Hi FM, I built a healthy, organic audience across all social media platforms, as well as original engaging content on their website. When I arrived the website had only 4,000 page views, within 3 months we were achieving more than 100,000 page views that continuously saw growth. As well as the website, I built up their Facebook page and gained over 26,000 likes during my time at the company, with a post reach of over 3.2 million.

From January 2015 to October 2016 I was the digital content editor of 104.8 Channel 4 FM, gaining more than 200,000 likes on Facebook throughout my time at the radio station. During my time there, I had many “viral moments” with my own original, local content gaining thousands of shares through social media.

During my time at 104.8 Channel 4 I was responsible for a number of the scripts, promotions and competitions that made their way on-air and online for the radio station. My day to day responsibilities included keeping the online read system up to date for the presenters, brief presenters before every new competition, and write scripts for DJ mentions, promos and adverts. I also made sure that sales would keep in line with what would fit with Channel 4’s listeners, to ensure ultimate exposure and engagement online and on air.

I began my radio career at Gulf News Broadcasting as an intern at the age of 14, spending every free moment at the radio station, I eventually worked my way up and became the breakfast producer of the Kenny & Daisy Show. A number of my roles included: preparing show running orders, updating social media, researching trending topics, scheduling songs, presenter briefing, talent management and creating imaging & promos for the show.
