- Placed 3rd in efficiency, 4th in endurance, 5th in cost, and 7th overall of 70 teams in Formula SAE Electric 2023- Designed a custom Vehicle Control Unit (VCU), decreasing the weight of the previous module by over 90%- Employed electronic fusing to safeguard the module against brownouts caused by a sensor short- Utilized FreeRTOS to meet timing constraints for processing sensor data and CAN transactions at 1kHz- Integration-tested the VCU with a 350V tractive system using a custom-designed high-voltage power supply- Worked with other designers to integrate electronic systems into the vehicle control scheme
