Working in the OEM and Industrial department managing customer facing projects, including new products and customer orders.

Project Manger - managing various New Product Introduction (NPI) projects, customer projects, and department project & resource planning. Including management of initial project business case, customer bid, through design, documentation, costing, manufacture, testing, marketing and delivery. Including supplier selection, purchasing, planning and regular customer & progress meetings.

Designing industrial fans and associated equipment, using Solidworks, and PDM Works Enterprise.I have been responsible for the complete design of ventillation equipment/systems for rail projects as well as an oil and gas project. This design includes fans, transformations and all sheet metal fabrications required to complete the project.These projects involve liaising with customers and suppliers, as well as internal Project Managers, Sales Managers and Engineers.

In July 2011 I joined the Engineering department of PLF International. PLF are a world leading manufacturer of powder filling machines and associated equipment.In this role, I was responsible for component and assembly design, from concept through to manufacture. This included creating bills of materials and technical construction files to aid purchasing and assembly.This role also involved taking ownership for and project managing the engineering aspect of the projects I was involved in. This made me the single point of contact for suppliers technical enquiries, and included regular progress meetings to ensure time lines were adhered to.

In April 2009 I was given the opportunity to join the busy Tunnels and Metros department as a Project Manager.In this role, I was responsible for Project Managing projects varying from £300k to £6million.This included project management of the design, sourcing, build, testing and supply of fans and associated equipment, including dampers, attenuators, variable speed drives and various fabricated sheet metal items.This invloved liaising with suppliers and customers to ensure that the equipment was on time and to the correct specification.I was also heavily involved in the financial, contractual and legal aspects of the projects.These projects were both UK and overseas based, with regular customer and supplier visits to discuss progress, specifcation, technical and comercial issues.

Flakt Woods is a leading company in the design and manufacture of industrial fans for various applications. The company has been in business for over 100 years.In this role I worked as a Designer which involved working on various projects including the re-design for cost reduction of a fan for the company's largest customer.This included visiting various customers/suppliers in Europe to discuss their requirements and potential new designs.In June 2007 I was promoted to Customer Engineering Team Leader as a result of my continued hard work and commitment in my previous role.As well as retaining some of my responsibilities from my role as a Designer, I lead a team of four, who as a department were responsible for all engineering aspects of the customer order process; this included specification and design to order work.After eighteen months as Team Leader I progressed to Senior Designer where I took a more technical role focusing on design projects.My time in the engineering department resulted in me becoming an expereinced SolidWorks user.

In this role, I was accountable for a variety of functions to meet ever changing business and client demands.The key tasks associated with my role included the complete design of high speed weighing, sorting and labelling equipment for the food industry, using Unigraphics V14 and V18.

During my tenure here as a trainee incorporated engineer, I was to spend the first two years learning about the business, its processes and its customers.In the second two years I was promoted to Design Draughtsman in the New Product Design Office, as this was an area I became particularly interested in. As a result of my time here, I became an experienced user of Hewlett Packard ME10.
