Fellow of The Institute of Materials, Minerals and Mining (FIMMM). Chairman of IOP Tribology Group committee 2011-2015.Chartered Scientist since 2004.Author of over 100 peer-reviewed publications. My research interests include (1) developing new nanomechanical test methods (2) applying them to studying mechanical and tribological properties of materials (often coatings) to (3) help their design and optimization to increase toughness and improve wear resistance in demanding environments.
