Collaborating closely with the finance team, we identified innovative ways to streamline operations and elevate overall performance within a rapidly changing landscape.As the Chief of Staff, I was integral to strategic decision-making, setting clear milestones and inviting executive teams from both EG and InsurTech to engage in meaningful discussions. Ben Brooks was brought on to Morningside with the specific goal of growing the brand within the private equity market during its critical first six months. His extensive experience and deep understanding of the PE landscape were seen as essential for building credibility and establishing a strong presence in this competitive sector. By focusing on strategic partnerships, targeted outreach, and enhancing the firm’s visibility through thought leadership, Brooks aimed to position Morningside as a trusted name in private equity, setting the stage for sustainable growth and influence in the industry.

Under my Senior Associate Title I oversaw the full cycle Talent Strategy and Acquisition process and planning of 8 different offices in the US; NYC, CT, NJ, D.C., VA, CHI, Dallas, and Houston. Globally, it was my responsibility to work with partnering offices to ensure TA Due Diligence alongside our corporate development team.

Within my first year at Andersen my responsibilities grew from owning the full-cycle TA strategy in Chicago to owning the strategy for four (4) different offices in the US: CHI, DC, NYC and Dallas. Andersen is one of the largest independent tax firms in the world, providing a wide range of tax, valuation, financial advisory, and related consulting services to individual and corporate clients. The firm is comprised of over 1,000 personnel located in 19 U.S. cities and has a presence in Europe, Latin America, and the Middle East through our international association of member firms, Andersen Global. In my role, I spearheaded new business development initiatives in the Pacific Northwest while managing all sourcing efforts for our existing client portfolio. Reporting directly to Joseph Huber, I managed the firm’s investment in Sweetlax Co., collaborating with senior leaders to scale the business in terms of revenue and geographic reach while enhancing brand awareness. During my tenure, we successfully expanded the brand into Boca Raton and launched ML8 Events.
