A self taught software developer with a psychology background, I am uniquely placed as a solutions architect to bridge the gap between product design and development teams.I joined Connective in October 2006 as the 3rd staff member working out of a small office in suburban Melbourne, and left in November 2023 to take a small career break. Through this time Connective has grown to become the most successful aggregator in Australia, with close to 200 staff, offices across all major cities, and a mortgage broking software platform (Mercury) that is the envy of the industry.Throughout Connective’s growth from a virtual startup, some of my key contributions and characteristics have stood out:>> Designing and building the Mercury platform from the ground up, including full CRM and compliance, financial modeling tools, and commission management.>> Continually solving problems and designing solutions for which there is no clear path forward (my problem solving has been described as “addictive”)>> Being highly fluent across the non-technical to deeply technical end of the spectrum - meaning I can understand user needs, assist and influence in Ux/Ui, design system architecture, and oversee or take part in implementation.>> Adopting and achieving high proficiency in various programming languages and technologies - React, Java, Spring, MySQL etc.>> Attention to detail, ensuring things look right and are done the right way.>> Exceptional communication through the spoken and written word, as well as using workflow visualization tools.
