Ben is a member of Miller’s Marine Liability Reinsurance team and is responsible for negotiating and placing marine reinsurance risks into both London and international markets. Ben has developed his experience and knowledge of finding solutions for facultative non-poolable risks for P&I Clubs, and their members, on a day-to-day basis. Ben draws together his expertise on P&I and marine liability to place annual reinsurance programmes for Clubs and marine mutuals alike. Ben started his insurance career in 2014, where he joined Miller’s Marine Claims team. As well as obtaining an understanding of policy wordings and conditions, he also gained a comprehensive knowledge of how shipowners’ policies react and respond. He moved to become an Account Handler/ Broker for the ICB team in 2017. Ben holds a BSc in Business Management from the University of Surrey and is ACII Member of the Chartered Insurance Institute.
