Client services responsibilities: Maintaining close client relations and working with our clients to help deliver projects, meeting their brief whilst also creating new insights that help bridge the gap between sustainability and profit. Business development and marketing: A specific focus on helping MM-EYE achieve B Corp certification, which we achieved in September 2023, and to diversify our client base. This includes introducing market research to new clients who aim to create positive change, offering our B Corp Survey Service to help simplify the data collection stage for B Corp applicants and attending in-person events to network and promote the value of Market Research in driving business growth and sustainability.B Corp and ESG:Working towards helping the company achieve its pledge of becoming Net Zero by 2026. As part of this, one of my responsibilities was to calculate the companies annual emissions. This helped us build a strategy towards reducing and offsetting our emissions, to help achieve our pledge. - Collection, organisation and analysis of quantitative and qualitative data to help the project planning team at GivePower determine the location of their next Desalination Solar Water Farm project. This includes visiting current projects throughout Kenya to work alongside the team and to build an understanding of the variables that determined the location of existing projects. - Analyse the data collected in phase one and shortlist 6 countries for GivePower to consider for expansion within the next 3 to 5 years, namely, Cape Verde, Senegal, Madagascar, Ghana, Nigeria and Tanzania.- Creating and finding contacts within the shortlisted countries and conduct interviews with key country and community informants as well as any further desk-based research needed into the demand and viability of a solar water farm in specific locations within the selected countries. I was assigned Tanzania to focus on and led the research into the Tanzanian water sector and security, geology (salinity and water table depth), population demographics, economic variables and climatic factors that might affect the success of future Solar Water Farm Projects. - Finally, I wrote up a market brief for Tanzania and presented the results to a team of GivePower project managers who have now used the research to determine locations for further field-based research within the country.
